Multi Jet Fusion

HP Multi Jet Fusion technology is at the forefront of the 3D printing industry, offering a powerful combination of speed, quality, and cost-efficiency. HP MJF has transformed prototyping and production, enabling businesses to bring innovative products to market faster than ever before

About the Technology

HP Multi-Jet Fusion (MJF) technology is a powder-based system that uses PA12 nylon powder to create strong, dense, and complex parts. This technology is best suited for parts that are traditionally too intricate for injection molding and/or short-run production parts. MJF also has several benefits over injection molding: no tooling or retooling costs, almost no limit on complexity (e.g. elaborate internal channels), and the ability to run various different parts in the same production cycle. Additionally, unlike other forms of additive manufacturing, these parts are isotropic – making their tensile strength uniform in all directions. WT3D has 5 years of experience of printing with and repairing the equipment needed for this technology.

About the Material

HP High Reusability PA12 Nylon – Ideal for producing strong, low-cost parts

HP’s Nylon 12 for powder bed printing is a robust thermoplastic that produces a high density part with good chemical resistance to oils, greases, and alkalies. It’s also biocompatible with USP Class I-VI and US FDA guidelines for Intact Skin Surface Devices. When printed on our 4200, we are able to achieve watertight properties with no additional post processing needed and meet a tolerance as high as ±0.30mm in the x and y dimension as well as ±0.42mm in the Z dimension .
